* Knowledge of safe cellar practices, including safe handling of chemicals
* Flexible schedule with ability to work extended shifts including occasional evenings and weekends
* Ability to lift 55 lbs

March 8 is International Women’s Day and to celebrate we’re offering free wine tastings to all the women out there. Join us on March 8 and 9 as we take a moment to honour all the incredible women in our lives!
We recently introduced a class designed to help enhance the wine tasting experience. It is truly the fundamentals of tasting which opens up the wine experience overall. Like many things, when we have more knowledge or understanding of something, we usually gain more of an appreciation for it. By learning some of the terminology we often hear in conversations about wine and what they mean can help us to relate those terms to a wine we may be drinking. Knowing typical references for what we experience from the aroma or taste of a wine can help us appreciate the wine more and be better able to buy a wine that we know we personally enjoy more than others. And it can even lead to broadening our choices as we learn to appreciate a specific varietal that we snubbed our nose at in general but learn that it is actually the best choice to enjoy with a specific food, for example.
This class has proven extremely popular and all of the dates we set sold out quickly. We plan to offer more classes in the fall, however if you have a group that would like to have this class before then, we may be able to set a special date for you.
