2020 Social Pinot Gris
Our 2020 Pinot Gris has a bouquet that is characterized by high-toned citrus fruit. The growing season for our Pinot Gris allowed us to pick earlier than usual but with a higher degree of ripeness.

Winemakers Notes: The 2020 growing season allowed us to pick earlier than usual but with a higher degree of ripeness. Three separate lots of Pinot Gris from different vineyards were fermented on their own in stainless steel at cool temperatures (13-15 Celsius). After a few months of settling, portions of the three cuvées were blended for final bottling in early Spring.
Nose: The bouquet is characterized by high-toned citrus fruit, pear, green apple, ginger, a hint of nectarine, and a through line of salinity and spice.
Palate: A fresh, energetic palate texture, good mid-palate weight and flavours of white peach, lemon, lime, and green apple.
Pairing Suggestions: Generously seasoned poached or steamed salmon with three-bean salad
Residual Sugar: 1.9 g/l
I use the word 'lavish' to describe the distinct tropical notes of papaya, nectarine and guava in our 2018 Pinot Gris. Delicious!
